We had a great payout in May and a lot of competitive action

A Special thanks to Storm Bowling Products and our Youth Leadership Team. With Storm’s support and our junior leadership team’s fundraising efforts, our scholarship awards were $1,620. We are always looking to add to our leadership Team. Join today. There are incentives and rewards.

In the “AA” Unlimited Division, there was fireworks! Jacob Frazier-Hunter Bower qualified 3rd and Tyler Coates-Brian DeLuisa-Anderson qualified 4th. Both teams battled their way one game at a time toward the top. Frazier-Bower took the lead following the 4th match. Then Coates-DeLuisa-Anderson moved up into 2nd after the 5th match but still trailed by 125 pins. Coates-DeLuisa-Anderson caught fire in the championship match and rolled a monster 498 scratch game winning the bonus of 30 to win the title by 13 pins! Frazier-Hunter did everything they could. Unfortunately, you just can’t put out a fire with a bowling ball.

Elijah Chin-Ashton Yamasaki qualified 3rd in the “A” Division then in match play caught fire and won all 6 matches by averaging a huge 403 per game to move up and run away with the title by 150 pins.

HAVE YOU BOWLED AN OJCTA EVENT?

We are the oldest junior tournament membership club in the Northwest (maybe the entire country) and are a scratch only tournament club. That’s why we have 4 divisions, so everyone can fit into a scratch event that fits their average. What you see on the monitor is what you are bowling against. NO SURPRISES! Win an event and you earn a banner with your name on it. It will be displayed at all events as long as you remain active. When you leave juniors, you get to take your banner with you. Each event ends with award presentation. You bowl and leave with your award the same day. Our next open event is the Adult/Youth Classic at Allen’s Crosley Lanes in Vancouver on August 6th.

Discounts for Doubles discontinued

Due to many years of our doubles tournaments being carried by our singles events, we are no longer issuing discounts for our doubles events. Our cost for doubles is considerably higher than singles and need to stand financially on their own. Be prepared for a raise in entry soon.

Storm is now including us on their Junior Facebook Page. Join in the fun and post your “Likes” on this page.

Need to contact us?

Due to a mountain of unwanted solicitation calls, telemarketers, computer generated calls, and calls without numbers, we have blocked all incoming calls that have their originating identification and numbers blocked. If your name or phone number is blocked for your outgoing calls, you will not get through to our phone. We average over 25 unwanted blocked telemarketers, scammers, and scumbags trying to get us to answer each day. We have also had emails trying to get information about some of our bowlers. We DO NOT give out information to unidentified parties. So if you want us to answer your emails, you will need to complete your message by identifying yourself at the conclusion (put your name to it). Most emails we can go to our files and eventually figure it out, but should we have to spend extra time searching our files for an email address we do not readily recognize? We don’t file information by email addresses or USBC numbers.

Thank you OJC bowlers!

Our “Bring a new bowler” campaign efforts are paying off thanks to all our members that really enjoy our bowling club. Sharing your tournament club with friends gives you even more satisfaction on your league through sharing experiences and working together to improve tournament performance.
